-
Why do we need to raise money?
-
How much money do we need is needed?
-
How many are in your group?
-
When is the money needed?
-
This is a perfect opportunity to rally the troops (and teach students the value of money).
-
Determine a goal for each student. Factoid – a family of four will raise $5.00. If each student needs to raise $50.00, they will need their family + 9 additional families to eat at Sonic.
-
Get them to pledge their commitment.

-
We’ll craft your flyers, emails, posts and text mail messages, you’ll just need to print and hand/send them out.
-
We’ll create and give you yard signs to position for greatest visibility.
-
We’ll list your fundraiser on our website, along with links and your site and flyer.
-
We’ll upload your pictures onto Facebook for members to view and forward, generating more awareness and increased participation.
-
Make it personal – explain why the need is important to you.
-
Make it fun and memorable!
-
Make sure they know how much is needed and keep them in the loop of how you’re doing and when your goal is reached.
-
Ask them to tell others.
-
Thank them for their help!
-
Reach out to family, friends, other supporting groups and ask them to join you at Sonic.
-
Contact local businesses that may be interested, and get employees to eat lunch or get take-out for their family.
-
Each member needs just 5 minutes per week to make the fundraiser successful!
-
Meet the Principal – Parents usually are motivated by this one.
-
Tots with your Teacher – Students always want to please their stickers… and we’ve got “Take-me-Sonic” stickers for you to use.
-
Sonic and a Movie – Families get their Sonic to go, and go back to the school to eat while watching a movie.

Have the principal do something really silly if the goal is achieved. Set an even bigger goal and to the silliness.
-
Let the group have an activity of their choice instead of the normal schedule (i.e.: a free afternoon of sports activities in the school yard instead of class)
-
Sonic will generate and gather tickets with students name on back.
-
Sonic will donate 3 $5.00 gift cards for the winners!
-
School/Sonic draws winners out of a hat.
-
Recognize the top participating boy and girl in your group. A certificate of sorts will work… maybe with their picture up on the Sonic Facebook. Don't get carried away, but it needs to be something that they’ll want, and your group can afford.
-
This is a great way to motivate the kids and get them working as a team- perfect synergy! If you're a small group, you can create teams by putting your members in groups of twos, threes or fours. If you're a school you can do it by class and if you're a league simply do it by team. You can offer the best selling group a free Kid’s Meal – a field trip outing to Sonic… or we can deliver.
-
Individual completion awards are very good because they are risk-free for your group. Once they reach a certain target, THEN they receive their award.

Answer: Absolutely not!

Answer: You got to eat… right? You know your supporting group better than anyone else. Many schools are reserving the same week each month of the year. Let us know what works best for you.
